About

A
s a Couselor, Teacher, Life Mentor and Body/Mind Practitioner, my private practice is built upon a life-long interest in – and dedication to – body, mind and spirit integration. For more than twenty years, my work has been greatly influenced by the ancient teachings of Eastern philosophies, traditions and disciplines, as well as the modern discoveries of Western science, medicine and psychology.  With Masters Degrees in both Counseling Psychology and Public Health Education, and as a Professional Member of the American Counseling Association, my academic, professional and expertise includes such varied fields of study as: Adult and Adolescent Mentoring, Support Counseling, Grief Counseling, Health Promotion, Stress Management, Meditation Instruction, Assertiveness Training, Martial Arts, Violence Prevention, Male Psychology, Relationship Counseling and Bridging, and Spiritual Guidance.

In addition to having delivered more than 600 empowerment training workshops, seminars and lectures to major corporations nationwide (Client List) and serving as a Wellness Consultant for fashion giant GUESS, Inc. from 2001 to 2007 (where I provided both Meditation Instruction and Employee Assistance Counseling at their worldwide headquarters in Los Angeles, California, and at their Canadian headquarters in Montreal), I am also a former California State University instructor, a certified Master of Kung Fu San Soo (the Chinese art of self-defense) and the author of THE FEMININE WARRIOR — A Woman's Guide to Verbal, Psychological, and Physical Empowerment (Kensington Publishing Corp., 1998).  In 2006, I executive-produced RELAXING INTO NOW — An Experiential Journey, the first in a series of relaxation and meditation CDs designed to reduce the detrimental effects of stress on both body and mind.  Over the years, I have appeared as an expert guest on national radio and television, and in print media publications, including: USA Today, Working Woman, Shape, and Glamour Magazine.

As a complement to my private practice, I am pleased to be on the clinical staff of health and wellness practitioners for Moonview Sanctuary, a division of Moonview Sanctuary Psychology Group, Inc., based in Los Angeles, California, where I provide client services in the fields of: Body/Mind Integration, Energy Healing, Meditation Instruction, Spiritual Guidance, Addiction Therapy, Chi Movement Development and Corporate Psychology.

As one of ten therapists, I was also on the Moonview Sanctuary treatment team featured in a 2008 case study entitled, Complex Modality Treatment of an Alcoholic Client Following the Moonview Model: Creating Synergistic Effects by Integrating Different Treatment Approaches, and facilitated the "Integrated Martial Arts, Movement and Life Coaching" component of this study.

In both my private practice and at Moonview Sanctuary, I frequently draw upon Eastern and Western transformative disciplines, teachings, tools and practices for total body, mind and spirit integration, and I often employ a wide range of cognitive, emotional, interpersonal, kinesthetic and spiritual perspectives, modalities and exercises in my work, such as:
